    The light is a mains powered LED. The driver sits in the space between the carcass and the lintel bar, and the power cord will be stapled to the outside of the carcass and will go down the side. A slot will be cut in the grommet for the cord, which will then go behind the vestry side surround, along the mortar line to a power point.

    That's the plan, I hope to see the electrician next week to confirm.

    Had to do a bit of searching to find a suitable light that wouldn't get too hot.

    What you could do is cut some additional slots in the top grommet so the heat has somewhere to go.
    Also, if possible, place the transformer between the wall and the door (if that is out of sight) so heat from the transformer has somewhere to go.

    and, again if possible, place an in-line switch on the cord where it is stapled to the side of the cabinet

    Meeting up with the electrician tomorrow to wire it in, so will post some pics of it installed with the light on.
