    Man thats a big/long Pew, great job by the way, could you enlighten us all on what steps you took, to bring the pew back to life.

    I have an old solid gothic style pew, i reckon its fairly old but not sure of which finish to use.

    Cheers for the positive comments!!

    I removed a few lengths of timber for better access, did't completely disassemble the pew. Used my orbital sander from 80 to 120 to 240 grit. Then finished with hand sanding from 120 to 240 to 320 and finally 400 grits.

    The finish was with Colourwood interior satin stain & varnish in the Wendge color.

    I also thinned the Colourwood down and sanded between coats
