Very delayed african mahogany pics
Hi all
At the start of the year I told someone here that I would post some pics of african mahogany once I had rejuvenated the finish. Well I stuffed up the first attempt and then work and study got away, but finally here it is, apologies for the extended delay.
The wood itself isn’t the best quality as the photos show, but you can easily see the red and gold streaks of this mahogany. This table has been finished with hard burnishing organ oil.

It’s a single stump, african mahogany as well. The frame (indeterminate tropical HARD wood) is recessed into it and then two brass pins hold it in place with a couple of door wedges to secure it. While it does look like a see-saw its overall weight means that I (100kg) can sit on one end without tipping it over.
