Book said to use inch square lengths. That seemed to small and fiddly for my old eyes, these bits were 40mm square.

Thanks for the tip, Artme.
The particular dovetail joint is supposed to make one scratch ones head and ask, "how does it go together?".
I guess it's an old trick and everyone is up to speed on it.
Still, not the easiest dovetail to cut as far as dovetails go.
