Default garden furniture to indoor furniture

I am running out of space in the garden after doing many garden planters this year so I have graduated to indoor furniture.

Attached picture of nightstand now complete.

Timber used a la skip, best selection, all softwood around 40 years old from roof construction.

The top is kitchen type laminate (teak effect) which matches our modern fitted bedroom suite (23 years old).
softwood finished with antique pine dye and danish oil.

Nice work John. Probably more challanging and enjoyable than than your famous garden furniture.

Great work there! Before you made the wooden pulls, did you consider antique brass? I'm asking b/c I think tarnished brass goes well with pine... Just curious.

Looks good Jow . The dye highlights the grain too . You've gotta remember though that when you post pictures for us Downunderers to look at , to invert them so that we can see them right way up .

    Default nightstand

    To Dave Edison
Your handles suggestion sounds nice, but specialist hardware is mostly only available mail order in the U.K. these days now that the DIY outlets have killed off most of the old fashioned hardware stores. Is that not the same in Australia?

    To Peter,

Something must be wrong I did that, I sent the pics upside down with past experience of posting to you guys

We are a bit lucky in Melbourne as there are a few specialty hardware stores with a good inventory . One called " Knobs and Knockers " can supply just about any sort of fitting . I recently got a small number of antique bronze 6# screws from them . Plus there are mail order suppliers as well.

    Jow,

I hope you didn't take my question the wrong way. I think your pulls look great and it's nice you have the patience to make them. I was just wondering...

Here in the states we have limited access to specialty hardware at lumber yards and home improvement centers. The main source that I would go to for the good stuff would be Lee Valley.

    Default hardware

    To Dave,

Never felt a thing (not even a pull), Lee Valley is a long way for me to go shopping.

Started another nightstand and posting progress pictures at the new thread.
