Hall Table
Hey Guys,
I just finished making this Shaker style hall table for mum.
I got the plans of FWW and changed a few minor details.
It is made from Tas Oak and Myrtle.
Hope you like it, comments appreciated!

Are you seriously only 15 or are you having a go at us?
Honestly, that's really well done! I really do like it. You should be proud and your mum would certainly love that hall table too me thinks.
Keep it up Alex.
Cheers,
Af.___________________________________________________________

Good stuff.
I do like the shaker stuff.
A little drawer stop would bring the drawers back into alignment to the front (they seem to drop back 1-2mm).My blog: ~ for the love of wood ~ - http://theloveofwood.blogspot.com/

Thanks for the comments guys, very encouraging, ha yeh, I'm still 15
I think I will do somthing with the drawers because I know exactly what you mean, just a thin strip along the back would do the job.

There was a good article in FWW a few editions ago on stops.
Solutions for Keeping a Drawer in Place - Fine Woodworking PDF Cover page
I'm sure you'll work it out.
It looks great, I'd be pleased with it.
Did you have a strategy for the grain along the front? My blog: ~ for the love of wood ~ - http://theloveofwood.blogspot.com/

Thanks for posting that link, very usefull. I think I may have seen it in a magazine or just online before, but thankyou.
I bought one big long board and cut it and reglued it leavign space for the drawers, however, the draw fronts are made out of a differnt board, if I had thought it through I would have tried to make it all continuos grain, however I didn't, nextime....
