    Default Been lurking alot. Thought I'd share some photos!

    This a simple step ladder I built for my church library. the steps are built out of sepele with a maple accent strip. and the legs are made from some old oak beams reclaimed from sheet metal pallets, plus a few pieces of the sepele.

    The joint work in this piece is far from complicated, but I have been trying to get away from using screws and nails, so this is my first piece with nothing but glue up joints. I'm kinda proud of that.

    The steps are finished with about four coats of poly. I wet sanded in between each coat. and the legs were just lightly sanded and rubbed down with a bit of teak oil.

    That's really well done.

    I like the design, & your selection of timbers goes together beautifully.

    I'ts a very simple design, but design doesn't have to complicated to be great.
