Default Moses Rocker and a few other projects

    Hey folks,

I'm fairly new around here but wanted to show off a few pieces I've built in the past few months. I hope you enjoy and I'm loving the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

Moses Rocker (completed last weekend, well I still need to rub it down with ecowoodoil) - I also had to make my own router table to make this one.

Nursery (for our soon to be born baby) Window Bed

    Baby Change Table (sans castors)

King Size Bed - frame and bed head (100% recycled)

Coffee Table (programmed with 52 different special effects - arduino project)

The first pic is awesome Beautiful woodwork.

Also, did you take the pic yourself? That is terrific with the flooring merging with the rocker and black background.

Thanks Lignun, yeah I took the pic in our living room at night with all of the lights out (except one, haha). The rest are pretty much horrible iphone pics. Some more pics of the moses rocker can be had here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/5120058...7625085050265/

I just love it. The reflection of the floor adds an extra dimension to the image. I would love it if i could get my photos to have that look.

I forgot to add that the Moses Rocker was made from scrap C/D that I had laying about.

Well done, a beautiful piece and beautifully shown off by your photos.

Just a thought (from a father of 3), what's to stop the moses basket falling off the stand?

Also, how did you joint the ply?
    Cheers, Richard

Hey Rhancock, thanks for the nice words. Not shown in the pic are straps that wrap around the vertical section between the horizontals and go across the width of the basket. There are two straps, one at each end of the basket, made from the same waffle weave the basket liner is made of. These were a WIP at the time of taking the pic.

re: joints: loose tenon stock and glue. I have tested the structural integrity by placing two 600x600x30 marble plates I have in various angles and locations. The each weigh approximately 20-25kgs each.

Thanks for the info. Loose tenons are a good idea, I might try that some time.
    Cheers, Richard
