NSW Rosewood Dining Table
Well, after 5 years of promising my better half a new dining table, I finally got around to building it. Now for the chairs - the REALLY fun bit
It's all NSW rosewood. The top is two boards - almost bookmatched, but not quite. White laminated glass down the centre. The frame is of course M&T joints all round.
Finish is many coats of Miniwax wipe on poly (satin), finished with Neil's wonderful wax as usual.
Neither photo I'm altogether happy with, but the second one does a nice job of showing of the figure in the top, despite the reflection from the kitchen lights. The Australian Woodworkers Database - over 3,500 Aussie Woods listed: http://www.aussiewoods.info/

The glass really does add something, like the others the finish brings out the grain in the top superbly.

Looks really great. The finish appears to be first class.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."
