thanks alot! appreciate it. all up i guess it took around 250-300 hours i didnt really keep a good time sheet but yeh a long time, drawers took 4 days! stand took a while to. and the wine rack took ages, so many components! i was thinking about doing all drawers where the wine rack is but didnt have time and i think it needed some negative space, would have looed to solid, would like 2 have another go at something like this as it could have been made alot better but i guess it came out ok, that black mark on veneers is a natural crack but it was consistent throughout so i thought instead of hiding it i'd highlight it so i just filled it with super glue mixed with charcoal.

thanks guys she came out ok haha, the end grain veneers are about 1.5mm was a pain to cut them though as i started with a block 100-100. wat does everyone think of the black fill in the cracks???? it was a natural defect that ran through the whole piece

1.5 mm thick end grain sounds very fragile. You must have been very careful with them I imagine.
I like the black mark and how it repeats right across the front, adds real visual interest, to me anyway.
Was it a big decision to mirror them towards the centre as opposed to all going the same way?The time we enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Great piece of work and workmanship

no wasnt really a big decision how to lay them out how i did, the effect, (i believe) really frames the whole thing if they went the same way they would appear to be unfinished. i like this pattern best

I originally looked at this and said to myself ok.
Now that I take a closer look it does grow on you.
