Default First project since my accident (cheeseboard)

I made this little beauty out of some rosegum and spotted gum I had tucked away in my 'project pile' of odds and ends left over from other jobs - stuff that's too good to burn but too small or odd to use for a bigger job, a pile I keep adding to and saying "I'll use you some day, in the meantime sit there and gather huge amounts of wood dust to the point where I can't even tell what species you are until I clean you up".

It's a belated mother's day present for my ma. It would have been on time but for my angle grinder incident. This is the first time I've picked up a tool since, and it felt great.

I've just sealed it with grapeseed oil and then buffed it with my first ever batch of 'spoon butter' - a combo of melted beeswax and grapeseed oil which is just lovely to work with. Hope you all like it.

Well done on the cheese board. It is a very good feeling to be able to get something made even after a short break.
