Queen sized bed
Hi everyone
Finished off the bed this weekend - it's made of highly figured red gum (which I have another piece left over to make a bedside table - that's next weekend! ) and Queensland maple legs (at least, that's what I think it is). It's oiled with orange oil and Organoil wax, so smells fantastic too. I've got some photos of the "test run" downstairs amongst the cobwebs and dust and then it made up with crisp clean sheets in my room!
Fit for a Queen (me!).
Cheers
Danielle

Hi Danielle
That is one great looking bed. Reminds me of the song "There was four in the bed and the middle one said. Roll over, roll over, they all rolled over and one fell out."

I like it
I've been thinking about building something similar, with the big upright posts etc. I just dont have a board as sweet as that headboard though
Guess I'll just have to make do with a slab of cypress
Cheers

Beautiful job Dan. Love that grain on the bed head. The sketch on the left isn't bad either
Good to see your not holding back on the woodwork. Hope things are going well for you.

Beautiful bed. I like the clean crisp design, the gorgeous timber, and the asymmetry of the curved bedhead.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
