    Zenwood,

Your tenoning jig seems to lack the threaded-rod micro-adjustment, which is the distinctive feature of my tenoning jig. This would not matter for cutting the mitres for your tables, but it would severely limit the usefulness of the jig for accurately cutting tenons.

I like Harry's alternative design suggestion, but cutting some of the kerfs for the splines would be even more challenging with his design.

You're right, Rocker: it has no threaded rod. As soon as I have some tenons to cut, I'll probably add that feature. Micro-adjustment for the mitre-cutting here was done with judicious hammer taps.

Default Original Rietveld zigzag table is in the Art Gallery of South Australia

Was in the Adelaide art gallery on the weekend, and came across an original Rietveld zigzag chair. It was labelled a "new acquisition", so I assume it's on permanent display. Looks pretty rough: pine (with knots), and lots of reinforcing at the mitres: glue blocks and bolts (which protrude from the seat). The back is joined to the seat with dovetails. If you're in Adelaide and have an interest, it's worth having a look (especially since admission is free). There are also several other wooden items of furniture on display.
