    Default Rosewood cabinet WIP

Its been a while since I last posted a WIP. This is a cabinet my mother-in-law requested. Their bathroom vanity has ran out of room, so they want a cabinet in the bathroom to store pills and other stuff.

The timber is NSW Rosewood from Mal and Greg. It is regrettable the cabinet looks like a James Krenov style cabinet.

What's the thing in the third shot? You make things for the in-laws?
I make things, I just take a long time.

Wheelie, don't let the camera fool you. I guarantee you the colour will turn dark red after a few coats of oil.

    Looking really good Wongo.
What joinery are you using... Dominos?

Can't wait to see more progress. A James Krenov inspired cabinet is up the top of my list of things to make.

Your mother-in-law must be a decent old stick to deserve this... or you're groveling in the extreme. What did you do?

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

My in-laws are also my neighbours and babysitters so they deserve something nice.

Andy, you are right. I am using the Domino. Other methods are frame & panel and dovetails.

    As always, nice work Wongo.
Having great neighbours that baby sit....priceless.

Good to see you using up the stock Scott!
rosewood thicknesses really smooth, hardly needs sanding. I think you'd like coachwood as well, I'll have to drop you a stick.........
