Another new shed
Finally I think the new workshop is in danger of being used for a non-workshop project. The slab was poured the day after Boxing day 2004 and the steel was delivered late January, promised before Christmas grrrrrrrrr.
Took longer than expected to build but work kept on getting in the way. Roof is lined with supercell - like aluminium bubble wrap - seems to work very well both in hot and cold. The walls are lined with ply with R2 bats behind.
Went overboard with the power - 3 phase and a monster cable (10mm2) back to the board. Spent a lot of time making sure the heavy gear was on different phases so that it all runs nicely. Used 4mm2 cable for the pp rather 2.5, probably not necessary but the compressor kicks in like it never has before, even if the 3hp thicknesser and the 2hp DC are running. Great.
Shed is 12m long 6m wide, 2.7m high. The apron is 6m by 4m and the doors are each 2.4m wide and 2.7 high. Got it mostly right, only change a couple of things if I did it again.
Now to start on the project list.

I want to marry your wife! My shed looks more like a broom cupboard.

An excellent set-up. If I may?...What should one budget for an arrangement like that but less the sparky...In round figures.

I believe that these sort of photographs should be banned for the forum. Causes too much stress. But seeing as they are here, great workshop.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."
