    Made from MDF, backing is aluminium. Designed & built by me.

    Yes, clean simple and elegant design. The aluminium looks good, and I also like the three blue squares on each set.

    Wrapping the sets around the corner is a great idea.

    I would be a bit concerned about those sharp points projecting out: people could easily strike against them, and they take up a lot of space in the room. Here's an idea of making the corner pieces triangular: softens them up quite a bit. Not sure though: it breaks the consistent rectangularity.

    Default Sharp or triangular?

    This was considered during the design phase (read: I had such solution drawn in SketchUp) but rejected because of visual reasons. There is lots of place left to the shelves and people will have no good reason for bumping into them. They are also mounted so high that the older kid doesn't bump into shelves and that the younger kid cannot reach them at all
