Some of my work
Hi all
I should start by writting my woodworking skills are avarage at best ,I live in perth wa and im not a woodworker by trade,im a pastry cook. What i dont like about pastry cooking is that everything you make gets eaten but with woodwork it can last centuries !.Im a crazy tool collector and it came in handy a few week ago when i was
planing a slab of banksia ,i was able to reach around and select from several planes all sharp and ready to go.Strangely it was a 150 year old wooden giant that done the trick.I love doing joinery using hand tools and i continue to learn and improve each project. Next year im planing a trip up north looking for desert hardwoods like mulga in my ute as i have a particular liking for these timbers.Ive just started making an out door bar and it will have roughly 70 joints 6 of which i completed yesterday.
My work is a bit crappy but i use the term rustic.

woodwork
Hello Boognish,
You are going well - keep it up. Be careful when foraging for Mulga, I think there are rules about digging
up the roots and of course there is the designated parks etc issue. Just a friendly reminder. Worth some research. Drillit.
