Taken to spoon carving
I've recently taken to carving a few spoons and I would never have thought it would be this much fun. I was unsupervised on the weekend as the minister of war and finance was visiting her mum so had a couple of days totally uninterrupted in the garage. Now I need to find some local timbers I can try.

Those have turned out fine, the woods and the finishes.
I'm sure some would be curious to know your list of tools.
What does your head tell you about handle shapes?
Can you do some forks to make salad sets?

Cheers. Just used basic tools as don't have a proper set yet. I used the bandsaw to get the rough shape I wanted first. Used a marking knife that I broke the tip off, a rounded chisel that they use with the lathe and lots and lots of sandpaper.
Some me of the handles I was happy with and some were so so. I'll make some salad sets up when I get enough off cut pieces.
cheers.
