Stinkies Pens
It has been a while since I last did some pens .... after receiving an order for some pen parts from Carroll's Woodcraft Supplies I decided to give it a spin this weekend.

Sir S, Very nice.
These are not the usual pen kits I see in carba-tec. What are they and from where please.

Thanks Macca,
Click on the Carroll’s Woodcraft Supplies link and they are pen 1c ($3.60). In my opinion these pens are far superior to the standard pen 1a that has the flat black inlay clip. The clip on these pens is a tapered shape with a small ball at the end; the centre ring is also curved. The other option which looks great with darker timbers is the nickel plating range, these look very classy but are a fraction more expensive ($4.45). It is also possible to get pacer style click pencils with the same clip and centre ring in the gold.
The finish is EEE and Liquid Shellawax.

I bought some of these at CT Perth @ the same price as the others, about 24-50 for 10. I really like them, surely different to the usual.

I use this kit also, as I consider when lined up side by side with the straight clip, there is no comparison, the shape of the ball clip is much more pleasing to the eye.
Beware, there are at least two manufacturers of the pen kit with the ball clip. One has thinner gold plating and wears through quickly, but is cheaper. Inspect one which has been in regular use for a couple of months for wear, then buy.

I agree with you kevin, there are some dodgy copies going around at very cheap prices. You can tell the differance straight away as the color of the cheap ones are a lot lighter.
