Thumbs up Studley’s rejected hardwood gallery

Many of us have been benefited from Studley’s hardwood bargain. I think it is a great idea to share what we have built from what was meant to be firewood.

So please show us your new floor, blanket chests, tables etc.

    Good idea Wongo.....

Studley is a legend for organising it. Hope it happens again one day...

here is a couple items I made from it.

My God I wish the stuff I was making out of it was that good!

But anyway have at least managed to make a few things.

Timber sales will be an ongoing thing mostly in flooring sizes. Thanks for the kind comments Martrix.

hehe and Wongo too for that matter. Followed the construction of your Rocker with interest.

Don't have that much going because everything is on hold for another week or so. I am making a bench to put my new printer on, big fella prints A2 photos and weighs 20kg. Needs a solid sort of thing to sit on and it will double as a place to store various size photo papers too.

I am thinking about putting a decent jaw on my vice (OK I have many vices but you know the one I am talking about) and a fishing rod stand would be a nice little project that my little collection of rods deserves.

    Hey Wongo

Only problem with a rocker like yours is you'll send way too much time in it dreaming the days away. Very nice.

Good thread Wongo. Stud and EMac should be proud of what they've done here.

Ok, since everyone else is also slow, here's mine even though it is still not finished – its only been 18 months . It is an L shaped Entertainment/Display unit, but the other half of the L isn't finished (although you can see the base frame), nor is the door knobs etc. This part is functional though and measures 2.2m high x 2.7m wide x 0.6m deep (See here for WIP).

My timber was 2 packs of the 80mm floor boards of mixed species. The unit is made from the mixed red species - blue gum, flooded gum, bloodwood etc
