Tas Blackwood chest of drawers
A few pictures of a project I am working on. This is for the newborn. Can't spend too much time in the shed at the moment, so it is progressing slowly.

Looking beautiful Wongo. You know it'll be decades before your new daughter will really appreciate the work that goes into this furniture.

Very nice Scott. Looking forward to seeing the finish go on.

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."

Very tidy! Two block planes... one for each hand?
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

at last
Scott.
That will only leave around 1.5 cube of blackwood left, you could perhaps build another 2 story tree house for the children and their parents and of course for your pet possums, and perhaps it could be used for more storage........
Looks great.

My kids say "Is this firewood?" and show no signs of discriminating any types of timber at all!
I still predict that the furniture will suffer some sort of tragedy during its lifetime. My youngest put some stickers on his bed-head, which I'd lovingly built years ago... A real bugger to get off.

Hi Wongo,
What they all said. Looks fantastic, lots of dovetails.
What timber did you use for the sides and back of the drawers, I like the contrast?
Looking forward to the finished product.
Cheers

Looking really good Wongo. I don't think it is a good idea to put a newborn in a chest of draws though. A crib or a cot would be better
Those were the droids I was looking for.
