    Default toooo big

note to self - a 9m x 6m workshop probably isn't big enough to make a 3.5m jarrah table in. more pics to come as we wrap it up...

That is mad. How did you work the boards on the jointer and thicknesser? I made a 2.5m long Jarrah table once and I had to move everything out of the way.

    Nice table.

No jointer believe it or not..
faces were flattened with the thicknesser and edges jointed on the saw.
Two boards had to be crippled to sit flat..
Not ideal I know, but there'd be nothing left if i tried to flatten 3.5m boards on a jointer!

    I couldn't be without it.
Mind you I am surprised more people don't swap out motors on old industrial machines..

Not wrong there. Flattening a 3.5m board on a jointer is nearly impossible workshop environment. I've done 2.7m in my small workshop and it was the sbsoulate limit.

How did you do it with a thicknesser? Did you build a jig, a long jig?
