new top for Triton.
Thought you might like to see the new top I made for the Triton router table.
Its a couple of pieces of 19mm chipboard glued together topped with Laminex.
I kept the Triton fence to use until I make another one.
The best part of this thing is the Phenolic router plate i got from Professional woodwork supplies for $100. The whole thing is flat as a tack and works a treat. Cheers Steven.Attachment 56945The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

A great looking top Steven. I am about to construct something similar using a Triton Mark 3 base and am keen to know what type of track you have used for the fence?

Trevor - Thank you for your link. You have put together a superb top too. I look forward to seeing how you construct the fence.
Whether my effort will remotely bare any resemblance to the build and quality of Steven and your tops is a moot point, but I appreciate the information you and all members of this forum share. Thanks again.

The track for the fence was the "T" track from Professional woodwork supplies in Patterson Lakes. Cost about $33 plus $12 postage for 1.2 metres.
The bolts for the Triton fence didn't fit so I bought a couple of round head bolts and ground the heads to fit . As I said in this post, the phenolic plate in this thing is truely well engineered and worth every cent.
Cheers steven
OOPS just noticed you are in NZ. The T track should be available though.Last edited by Stevenp; 6th October 2007 at 07:56 AM. Reason: Added the NZ bit

Dampen their misery....sit with them and talk a little.
Buy them something to eat and a tram fare to a local mission.
