WIP Hall table
Hi All,
Just finished putting together a Hall table for the main entrance to our house. Its made of Iron bark which I have had for years and had forgotten about it. I found the slab lying under a head of rubbish under our house about 3 months ago. I had to take it to wood'n'you to have it dressed as I almost killed my carbatec 13" thicknesser.
It still needs to be finished. Any suggestions.
cheers
Michael

Sand the table to silky smooth.
Mix 1/3 gloss polyU, 1/3 linseed oil and 1/3 tung oil. Apply a generous coat of the mix to the table. Leave if for 5 minutes and wipe off the finish completely with a clean cloth. Leave it for 24 hours and repeat the process 5 times.Visit my website at www.myFineWoodWork.com
