the 316 refers to the type of stainless steel, not the number of screws.

    Only just caught this one.

Beautiful table, it stands out for all the right reasons. Very unique leg treatment that I quite like.

Your workmanship also stands out, all components and joints under the table, even though out of sight, are very neat and tidy.

I like it a lot, very well done.

    Thanks Steven,

As I said earlier, all these positive comments are very encouraging. It is good to create and to have these forums to share ones creations.

    Regards

I have not met either of them, but was inspired by the design, although I chose to make the table quite differently to how the original designer made his desk.
Maybe send an email to the magazine with your photos and some details. Most of the woodworkers who publish their designs in Woodworking Magazines like to see other people's interpretations of their designs.

All credit to you. It looks quite well resolved to me. I love the interpretation, curves are something I try to introduce into most of my work. And kudos for revealing the design inspiration.

    Hi Xanthorrhoeas,
Just like to add my voice to the great work you have done here it is nice to mention the earlier designer but who has ever made something that has not in some way been influenced by some one else in one way or another be it by direct copy or a slight influence of the design. You have produced a very nice table here and should be rightly proud of you're efforts as I am sure the people who receive it will surely be.
    regards Rod.

Thanks Rod and all others who have made such positive comments. As a community of woodworkers we all try to do our best all the time. I am pleased with, and proud of, my work on this table and very glad that it gives my son and daughter-in-law something to use and enjoy. As a non-commercial woodworker that is great, but all the positive comments really help to keep me enthused, so thanks to all.
