Less than amonth till the exhibition & I think I'm almost ready just working on another item for the show. Each of our members can purchase a super foot of Mahogany to use. It can be cut, drilled, glued, re-assembled, turned, carved or whatever you like. Only the wood supplied can be used, cannot add any other timber, but can add other materials like stone or resin. I will have my camera and will post pics of some of the entries after the event.

I've seen a couple of pictures of wooden motor cycles online but none of them come close to what you have done here, your attention to
detail is outstanding and the finish, perfection. Have you had any offers from people wanting to buy it at the show?

exhibition
The exhibition was a great sucess and I didn't get any offers. My missus asked prior to the event if I was to sell how much would it be worth? I told her I would put $16850.00 on it. When she asked why such a strange amount I remindered her that was the price we just forked out for a caravan and if I could get close to that it just made sence. So at the exhibition that was the price but no-one serious about a purchase. I would like to enter the bike in a real motorbike "show and shine" with the hope of securing a trophy or sash to place with my display for future showings. I also had great response from other woodworking groups at the exhibition and will be organising a turning demonstration at their venue and they have requested I bring along the axe to show their members.

I think it's worth every cent your asking for it, the time you put in and the quality of your work.
Keep showing it, it's a prize piece for sure.
