    Default My workshop, still trying

It's just a mess, whenever I get organised something goes wrong and it's all up the creek again.
Remarkably, things actually get done in this organised chaos, although I'm sure Sturdee would cringe.

With all that space, you should be ashamed of yourself...........

It looks like my son's bedroom !!

You might be correct that Sturdee would do a better job of organising it - but I be he would give his left test*cle for a shop that size - I know I would.

    Default Untidy Shed Competition

I thought I would enter the untidy shed competition. I try and tidy up inbetween projects but this time I've had a couple run into one another.

I think that is the first shop I've seen fitted with a noose.

Don't bother explaining, we probably won't believe you anyway!

you could have my right one and then you'd have a pair. Are metal sheds like that relatively inexpensive there? It looks like it could be assembled quickly? I'm just jealous. please forgive my ignorance. I would love to throw together a shed like that, but it would never pass inspection here. But I guess buildings in Oz don't have to be engineered for 60kg per square foot snow load. thanks for the pics Iain.

Ha, you blokes with a big workshop should be ashamed of yourselves. My shed is so small that I can't afford to put on weight or I wont fit in. I'd take a picture of it but the camera wont fit in either. Even when it's tidy it's still a mess.

Metal sheds are a luxury item. Most of us just have a bit of canvas strung up between a couple of gum trees.............and that's the house !!!

    Default Prices

My shed cost about $6k plus about another $4k for the floor.
Power cost me $300 to get from the house to the shed with an earth leakage detector.
The sparky is a mate who still hasn't finished the job and I have only two power points near the roller doors.
There are two roller doors and one is for access and the other I have built in shelves and racks for the girls saddles and other associated horse gear, just open the roller door and instant tack room.
There are strict engineering reports that have to be adhered to such as wind resistance, I think mine is rated at about 140kph.
When we get our next heavy snow ( ) I shall brush it off the roof and weigh it, actually, we had a frost yesterday morning, does that count? .
It seems that I have opened a can of worms and several are now in confession mode, I can offer a counselling service.............for a fee, just send me an email with your VISA Number
I must admit, I feel a bit better too.(And no one noticed the orange in the corner)
And as an aside, had company coming in on Sunday arvo, he didn't get in

My shed isn't even built yet but I can already picture it messy.

My shed will be 16x6.5m. The shed is $12,000 and the slab is $6,300. It probably could take a bit of snow but I think the last time it snowed here was 1932.

Just to show that the noose doesn't have a sinister purpose. It is used to tie back my power cable and air hose boom.
