Stinkette at Lee Valley Toronto! + the Goodies :)
In the tradition of Sir Stinkalot at Rockler Boston - comes The Stinkette at Lee Valley in Toronto.
She just arrived back this morning with a bag load of goodies that I purchased on line before she went over there. Also managed to put an order in with Rockler and have that delivered to Canada to save a few dollars on postage.
Anyway enough chat ...... here are the goodies:
All up:
- Rockler Bench Cookies and Storage Rack (dont worry I have the other 4 in the garage to complete the rack from a visit earlier in the year https://www.woodworkforums.com/f42/si...boston-111605/)
- Diamond Grinder Wheel Dresser
- Eze Lap (for fellow forum member Pellcorp)
- Veritas MkII Honing Guide
- Lee Valley 1000/4000 Japanese Waterstone
- Rockler 2 1/4" Fence Flip Stop
- 2 1/2" Forstner bit
- Veritas Jointer and Edger
- File
- Rockler Universal Fence Clamps (look handy)
- Veritas Cabinet Scrapers x4
- Veritas Cabinet Scraper Holder
- Veritas Cabinet Scraper Variable Burnisher
- Rockler Deluxe Hold Down Clamp x2
- and an ice hockey puck.
All up a happy little camper. The card scraper equipment all came as a set but it saved quite a few $$$'s.
Quite a good day ...... Stinkette home and lots of new goodiesNow proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.

What, you couldn't get Stinkette to bring back a few suitcases worth?
Some nice stuff there, if you find you don't like the Veritas s/holder, then you can lob it my way.

Looks like it wasn't as cold as the time when you were at Boston either, so I can see why she is smiling
Looks like a good haulCheers

Bustard. This is an act of cruelty.
Did the savings pay for the air fares?
If not, you haven't spent enough!Cheers, Ern

Well done with all those presies. The airlines are quick on the excess baggage though, so don't try and bring in any of those vices.
By the way, check out the tops on those star pickets around the tree. Not exactly OH&S!
You would not see these around the Coogee Bay Hotel on a Saturday night.

The big question is how did the good lady fit these into an already crammed pack suitcase.
I dont know of any lady that goes anywhere without filling a suitcase for the "just in case time"Jim Carroll

Why The Puck?
Why the puck? ...... well I have just asked ...... turns out is was just given to her as part of the conference that she attended. No idea why I ended up with it but it can become a spare (emergency) bench cookie if the need arises. Unfortunately no great story behind that one.
I was very lucky with my haul. The trick is to say that it will all be light and just to make enough room for a shoe box ..... just dont say the size of the shoe
It was interesting to see that it was still relatively expensive to post from the US to Canada for the Rockler goodies ..... much cheaper than to Australia but I am still kicking myself I didn't buy more when I was there earlier in the year. Good news is that the Stinkette's trip was all paid for by work so she had a good time and I got some goodies.
No time to play at the moment ..... or the near future so all are still sitting in their boxes without the hint of sawdust yet.Now proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.
