Did that once when I used to work in a lube bay. Ended up pumping 50 litres of oil into the pit below the hoist before someone noticed the engine was taking more oil than normal.

On the plus side, you noticed before you started the engine.

Had an old International, bull nosed truck once.
Opened the engine inspection flap and the oil and water fillers were adjacent to each other.
Guess what used to happen there!!!!!!!!!!
    Stay well, Keith.

Well...a few months later we had a road sweeper in for a service. We drained the oil on the vacuum unit engine...and then someone forgot to but in the fresh oil. When they stripped the engine down the bearings were a funny blue colour....like theyd been really hot at some stage
