    Default Hey Felder

    Felder

I wasn't flaming BennyB Traveller I was just telling him to GET READY to be flamed but obviously he didn't last long enough to get flamed before the axe fell and he was eliminated by an ever vigilant moderator.

Yeah I know Bazza, but I just felt it was unfair of you to suggest to people that a newbie like BennyB should cop a flaming.....

Just kidding, Barry. My tongue was planted firmly in my cheek with that post. Prolly should've use some more smiley thingies. I think it was obvious to all that BennyBTraveller was a blatant spammer. Or was it? I couldn't even work out what he was selling:confused::confused:.

Now back to alternate travel routes. You're near Tamworth. What do you think about travelling to the Blue Mountains via Condoblin?Good idea or not?

While we're on the subject of flaming, I have to pick you up on your use of the 'word' (and I use the term in it's loosest possible definition) "prolly". Now, this is an Americanism and conjours up the smell of oil and cow#### and big hats. So Mr Felder, what do you have to say for yourself? A true Aussie would say "probly"

I figured that was tounge in cheek.

As far as travelling to the Blue Mountains from Tamworth I always take the shortest route. From Tamworth to Muswellbrook to the Putty Road via Jerry's Plains and Bulga down to Windsor and from the Putty road through East Kurrajong to North Richmond up the back road through Angus Bank to Winmalee and into Springwood and then go east or west however the fancy grabs you.

How's the Putty these days? Still as long, straight and slightly boring as usual? HWMBO has one or two interesting stories from his truck driving days about that stretch of road.

    cheers

The only way I could find Condoblin woud be to set it in my GPS and follow the prompts on the screen.

But have gone to the Blue Mountains from Tamworth more times than I care to remember.

The Putty is probably quicker to the Western outskirts of Sydney now than the Expressway and the trucks these days are few and far between except for the ones trying to dodge the RTA.

I used to travel the Putty back in the late 50's when half of it was dirt in an old 56 VW.
