Leichhardt Hwy Theodore To Miles
Has anyone driven this road recently and able to give me a heads up as to what to expect.
I'm going to be driving it to relocate in three weeks, hopefully during daylight but I may have to do it at night.
I'm guessing the territory is unfenced cattle stations and roo heavy.
Is there any parts of it I need to be particularly careful about?
I'm an experienced driver, open HC and 37 years on the road.

I’m familiar with most of that road; especially the section between Taroom and Miles. It’s all single lane bitumen with limited overtaking places, but traffic density is low. Road width is good enough for B-doubles to safely pass each other at cruising speed. There have been a few short sections of roadworks over the past few weeks but nothing major; just patching up potholes.
The only real area for concern is wildlife; roos are prevalent and if you are driving at night you will see them. There are a lot of cattle properties in the area but they are adequately fenced; I’ve never seen loose stock on that road.Last edited by Chief Tiff; 28th April 2024 at 09:00 AM.
