Lightbulb Missing the Colesworth shopping bag bin liners - Try this.

Since the plastic bag ban was instituted I have been trying various ways of folding newspapers into origami bin liners. To me this seems the easiest and most effective folding I've tried.

Our broadsheets are a different size to US newspapers and for my medium size kitchen bin I actually find laying out 3sheets of The Australian overlapping enough to make a square works well.

Default Cut out the middle man

I'd be throwing the Australian in the bin without bothering to read or fold it into a bin liner.

Ignoring the rest of the content that goes into all of your trash cans, the politically sensitive or media bias irritated among us might like to just save the $3.80 cost of a weekend Broadsheet and buy 17Kg of butchers paper instead. Printers ink free and probably better for your com-post (I'm not sure if that strange NA twang is doing anything for me) bin bag . That is assuming there is a desire to avoid buying new Glad plastic bin liners.

Should I have put this in the jokes thread?

Before plastic bags were invented, we used to wrap the rubbish in newspaper. Trouble is that we download the papers these days. Some bright soul might start selling paper rubbish bags.

When I lived in the U.S. every supermarket used paper bags and "double bagged" for heavy items.

    Hey Mick,
Were you ever pressured to register to vote while in the US? Just wondering. . . There is a lot of male bovine excrement about voter registration going on of late. Actually since idiot child was elected.
