    Default Rain!!!!!!

Installed my new (birthday present form No 2 daughter) computer weather station this morning.

Started raining just after lunch, so far have had 28.2mm.

Wooho, almost forgot what rain looked like, tanks are overflowing as well

Rather nice to sit inside and be able to read the rain gauge

I gave one of those to my wife for XMAS a few years ago. She didnt talk to me for two days... My boys thought it was the bees knees....

Wot's this 'rain' stuff of which you speak? The only wet stuff that falls from the sky here is white with a black spot in the middle

as for using all that water to flush out the shavings, use a broom like the rest of us

And now that I've been rude about the rain, it's raining here Mind you, it's not 'rain' as such, just annoying precipitation, enough to turn the dust on the car to mud ... if that.

I'm giving up on posting 'funnies' on the forum and going to go back to saving the world, that at least has some chance of success.

Went to check the rain gauge, but its overflowing, so we must have had a fair bit. Usually one of the things I like about Brisbane is that the rain always comes in one big hit, and then the sun comes our again, so the last 3 weeks of drizzle is starting to get tedious.

If you had a rain gauge in central Melbourne today it would have exploded. Never seen anything like it. It shut down Southern Cross train station and collapsed Etihad stadium roof (estimated 3-4 months to repair) will be interesting as the week goes on what the estimated damages bill will be. It will be staggering. I got home and it was like I had jumped out of the shower with all my clothes on. (at least they wont need to be washed )

I have just finished moving three rooms of furniture.. we had at least 15 inches of water running through our yard this afternoon!..

There was water everywhere, I know we are not the only ones in this predicament and I have great sympathy for everyone effected by the storm..

Anyway off to temp emergency accommodation now.
I try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it

Bugger, no footy at Etihad, oh the shame - any chance of all the other places getting rain damaged beyond repair before the season kicks off?

I make things, I just take a long time.
