Well Wendy, have a good night. I am about to toddle off to bed, it's been a long day . . . Punting and drinking . . . not much time for my shed. Maybe tomorrow arvo, after playing with the lawn mower to sober up

I'm on my xth red for the evening & the rest of the house (including the visiters) have fallen down on the job so I'm out here in the office thinking 'what the hell', so I bumped it.

If it is still open on Monday, I'm sure SilentC & Namtrak will also add to it.

Sorry? And so you should be!

(Not for posting , who cares about that? But rubbing our noses in our lack of tickets...? )

    Default Gothic stage.

It has been asked " How was the gig? ".

The opening support band " Down " were loud and fowl mouthed.
    From the southern coast Amourica.
We all became Mthr efffrs for the time that the lead man addressed us in between songs. Very heavy, young, indestuctable, bullet proof, look at me , so called music.
Non melodic, chromatic ascending chord progressions. Done and dusted.
A sort of evil heavy metal, play it backwards and slash your wrists type crap. Got the pic now?
I studied music for 14 yrs and made it to sixth grade theory hence the tech description. Amongst several instruments. Bragger !
Listen to early Metallica and you'll get the pic. I do enjoy Metallica. Just a point of ref.
My darling and I left to poison our lungs till they, were quite outa there.
Phew! She said when we sat down, " what have I done? " We had a good laugh at her saying that.

Go to the web site for the current line up of Blk Sabth.
I don't know how you guys put in links in your posts

I'm lost. Soooo many member changes. Quite amusing.

    There's more. Here's one I prepared earlier.

    Default Quick review. I hope.

They came on stage with a whiz bang loud organ chord filling the 2 thirds closed stadium. Long hair and balding, the singer and 3 others raised there arms, " Rockn roll". Gotta laugh. Go see "Spinal Tap".

Some dry ice mist crawling about the stage.
A brick pillar then a church looking, metal picket fence stretching to another pillar. Then the drummer and his kit and then the fence continued from the other side of the kit.
A Huge blk banner with a historical painting on it of....a church and then a few pagan type crucifixes with flared ends. You know the type.

Because of music rights they didn't play Paranoid. Or Changes.

Classic seventies gothic sounding heavy rock.

Under the southern Cross was one of only three songs I recalled.

For aged men, they moved about in the fashion we'd expect then too.

Fire flares went off now and then. I saw six tall gas botts in two groups of 3 either side of the stage.
I had a fire plan in my head I will admit. Straight to the door that the least would go for.

Crowd joined in when the mike was held up to them. Gee they sound alike Deep Purple. I love them too.
All the classic falsetto screams..... and throat lowering, devil sounding, menacing evil utterances.
    Great lead and bass solos.
Lead guitarist is sooo cool. He had a Gibson Sg. Great rock axe I think. Then a A Gibson Les paul. Wow. Now that's a brilliant Rock axe.
I love the bass player. I would too. I'm a drummer ha he.
Echoe and reverbaration were,... and are an important effect in delivering this genre of music as it stands.
The vocalist must've told the producer at the desk to keep it on and coming.
It's great. A feeling overwhelming power to the orrater and the audience.
An entity in itself ha he.

Play it backwards and you get " Tip toe through the tulips "

Huge long drum solo. SO!!!! I leaned forward with head in hand to take notice. I'm gonna get bk into it.
Vinnie Capice...( Capeacheh ) let it rip with some good tech detail and created a lot of excitement, ending with a lead beat, back into song, as the boys came back on. Flares going again. Yep ....he got heaps of echoe and reverberation too!

Bout 2 hrs we got. Then short brk as we nagged them to come back on . "More "we screamed.

A trip down mem lane. What little mem I have left.

    Cheers Tony
