Well done WB there has been enough derogatory remarks made so far in this thread , and just so long as that includes Everyone as I am sure it will, then we can all get on with life on a level playing field and just enjoy the forum without friend or favor .
The moderators have their rules and carry them out under the guidelines set out by Neil, and it is a huge unpaid thankless job, far too big for one person.
We as posters are only guests and are also covered by the forum rules as set out by Neil, if we go too far then we are expelled as are the moderators , though in al's case he resigned because of his actions after too many drinks he did "Quote Something freaking stupid end Quote"

Wood butcher said he was not sacked but resigned and I am sure WB is telling it as he knows it. And though as al has said " I know some of you hate me, but tough, I hate you too" then I think we should let al's sorry post (where he is trying to apoligise in his own way for his bad actions) remain un-hijacked and regardless of any individual feelings towards him give him the dignity and respect that we can, after his service as a mod, to resign gracefully and openly to the whole forum giving his reasons rather than to mearly slink away and allow unfounded rumours to speculate, as i am sure they would, as to why he is gone as a mod.

Good on you for getting up there and giving the mod job a go for awhile, and even though this has given a few the chance to take the p!ss for a bit underneath their glad it's not them, I think.

Hopefully after some time in self imposed exile we might see you back slapping wrists.

I clearly remember getting up one Sunday morning to an earfull and being sent off to a mate to apologise for perceived grog induced rudeness. Before getting a word out said mate apologised for himself and his behaviour. Damned if either of us ever found out what was said, much over rated this apologising stuff much easier to forget and move on I reckon.

You have got me there Al. I have contributed stuff all to the forum, and for that i would like to say sorry to all the other forum members

Every single member of these forums owes Al a debt of gratitude and a really big thank you for the tireless and diligent work he put in during his time as a moderator and administrator on these forums.

His loyalty and commitment were more than I could have ever hoped for. He worked harder and longer than anyone else has ever done to clean up the forums for you and did an absolutely fantastic job of it. His ability to spot troublemakers, spammers, pedlar's etc is absolutely uncanny an pretty well spot on every time.

Whether you love him or you hate him..... YOU ALL OWE HIM. If it wasn't for Al and the efforts of the other mods and admins these forums would have literally been over run with spam, , mobile phone sellers and absolute drivel, over 12 months ago.

Thanks Al for a fantastic job, so well done. Your expertise will be sorely missed in the back rooms of these forums and very, very hard to replace.
