stihl pressure washer
I've a Stihl pressure washer that I haven't used for a while due to water restrictions.
Does anyone know if it's possible to run these washers from a low pressure water source? e.g from a water tank as opposed to connecting to a mains pressure sourceGeoff

I have a Karcher, and I run it from a 1000 litre water tank. It works well.

I've found several posts in other forums saying that karchers work well from a bucket/tank.
I was planning to use the recycling bin (240 litre) as a water source but can't find any info on the Stihl (RE 115 K) that says you can do this. All I can find are dire warnings about running the pump while dry.
Update: I sent an email to Stihl this afternoon asking this questions. I've just received an answer saying that, yes it's OK to run them from a tank but not to have them too clsoe to the tanks and to use 19mm hose to connect.. Tomorrow I fit a hose connection to the wheelie bin and give it a try!Geoff
