    Default Survivor - Ubeaut forum

This week my vote goes to …

No seriously folks lets get back to basic.

Let’s talk woodwork and share some laughter.

Let’s respect each other like a friend.

Let's play the ball not play the man.

    Let’s respect the referee’s decision.

    Now are we cool?

Nah: my favourite goes to John Howard: "Peter came to me and said, 'What about Bob Gerard?'"
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

    What Wongo said.
Lets get the forum back on track by sharing what we all love doing best, ( or is that 2nd. best? ) WOODWORKING, in all its derivations, with a bit of humour thrown in.
    Take good care,
    Barry.

While what Scott says has many merits, it also has its downfalls, dissent can be very healthy & some of us may be indeed bored with the current round of topics, and to look for stimulii elsewhere they may end up lost from the fold
I believe as in person to person not all of us will be each others cup'o tea, and it is healthy to admit this ,as Lou said elsewhere (crikey now I'm even quoting "sage Luke" things are bad maybe Scott's totally right) we know within ourselves whom is appealing and whom isn't and OCCASSIONALLY informing someone they have leanings towards richardheadedness is ok, provided you are reasonably civil about it.
It's like i teach my Blokes, "you don't have to take the person home to meet mum & dad, or even like them, but given maturity & fairmindedness, you can still respect their abilities and work with them to get the job done.

So in short leave the personal differences that aren't timber related in the appropriate fora', here and 1 below in the orange room.

Sorry Richard, even as I typed it i thought Mmm, "Daddles may get insulted here", then I thought, "Oh well he knows I appreciated his particular brand of Richardheadedness", despite the obsession with Euro machinery.

It has go to a point that I duck every time I post anything in case someone bites my head off because they do not like what they think I said.

Well don't be so ambiguous........be downright insulting and they won't be mistaken then.

Al, I happily sit in the total pratt class, however this total pratt thinks English is the most expressive, flexible and beautiful language ever and, properly used, doesn't need graphics to express a idea.

I think we moved on from paintings, to communicate, when we moved out of caves. Must we regress - now the digital age encourages illiteracy?

Please note, this is not an attack on anyone. I am arguing against the idea that we need to punctuate our texts with what strike me as fairly juvenile icons.

    Another dissenting opinion, I'm afraid.
