Coming back to work yesterday past 4 girls (say 16-20yo) standing half on the road with a tripod and small movie camera filming down a blind laneway.

Suddenly 4 or 5 girls are running out of the laneway towards the camera only a few metres away from them just on the road about 1 metre.

Not a problem right except one dumbest mullet runs straight towards the camera passing it very close on the far side and continues 4 metres past shaking her head and hair around skylarking for the camera.

Now not one dumb head was looking for traffic and she stopped one metre short of my bulbar oblivious to the 4WD travelling about 30kph at that stage – mate it isn’t fast but 2 more steps and she was under the wheel.

Scared the life out me!

So lesson is if you see twits with camera and tripod near a road just run them over and save me the shock!

If it wasn’t so sudden and I wasn’t in such a stunned state I should have stopped and gone back and ripped into them.

A few more grey hairs dangnamit.

In situations like that I immediately stomp on the brake pedal that's on the right hand side

I did hit two females in Toorak some years ago, travelling south there was a red light but a green left turn arrow, I continued into the intersection as these two burst out of the crowd on the footpath about 500mm in front of me.
I didn't have a hope in hell of stopping and collected both of them.
Seems they saw a green traffic light in front of them but ignored the don't walk sign and assumed that they could get across in time, failed to realise that I had a turn arrow.
Police were good and had the two charged with jaywalking despite their protests of what a bastard I was for hitting them.
Fortunately for them it was only minor cuts, abrasions and bruising............ and a change of underwear for me.
