    Talking witch1 moving to brissy

We have decided to move to Brissy so we can be closer to our kids.

They were all born and raised in Sydney, both daughters are now married and living in Queensland.
Youngest daughter is in Noosa and eldest daughter is in Brisbane, our son has a unit in Sydney and will remain there for now.

Having spent the last 52 years in Paddington Sydney, my beautiful lady and I will be selling up the family terrace, and have purchased a place in Brisbane 11 Km from the heart of town.

It will be a treat to finally have a proper workshop (shed?) of my own where I can put in some beaut new machines and use proper wood instead of the man-made stuff that I have been training on for some years.

In the next couple of months I will be out and about in the suppliers showrooms terrorising sales staff and haggling for best deals.

I will try to keep up a running commentary on progress as I go and all advice will be welcome.
    regards

    Witch 1,

I live in Brisbane and am actively woodworking.
When you get settled in Brisbane and need to be pointed toward the local tool suppliers, parts suppliers, timber sources etc, send me a PM and I will save you days trying to find the good ones yourself, unless of course "the jourmey is more important than the destination".

My advice is reconsider mate. Yer don't want to get too close to the kids.
    Cheers,

thank you all for your interest everybody, Waldo, sorry to hear that there are some problems associated with your return to the promised land, if I can help let me know.
rossluck, I have a brother living in surfers paradise and even that far from the heart of town the roads are sealed.
hon. bloke we are moving close to the kids so they can keep their promise to us and look after us in our dotage.
ellemcbeast thank you for your kind offer, it will be a pleasure to take you up on it when we settle into our new home
