    Default DIY drum thicknessing sander

    Hi, I've recently completed a drum sander build, loosely based on the woodgears.ca plans, but scaled up and using PVC pipe instead of MDF disks.

    a few pix attached here for convenience.

    It works well, my effort truing the disks and drum paid off (no "bumping" when using it).
    It has a removable bench top so it can double as a work area when not in use.

    Default diy drum sander

    iv used the pvc as well, I have different grades on different pipe easy to change over, mine's powered by the treadmill motor I can change the speed. sorry no photos under packing boxes.
