    Default Marking knife

Almost two years passed since Greg Ward generously offered free samples of Australian Rosewood. I did take some shavings from my piece, but I could not think of anything to do with it, so I put it aside.
Yesterday I heard voices from my timber stack telling me I needed a better marking knife. I searched the pile, and it was that piece of rosewood talking to me.

Here is the marking knife. The blade comes from an old hand saw, and the finish is danish oil.

Again, thanks Greg for the timber. It is very nice to work with - it is soft, and responds beautifully to the blades. I have not realised how beutiful it is until I put the finish on.

    Good one.

I still have my piece sitting on a shelf in the shed.
I have made a few marking knives now, I might follow your lead.

    G'day Javali,

Like Cliff, my bit of rosewood has also been sitting and waiting - might be a good use of it to do the same as yourself.
I make things, I just take a long time.
