    Default Two Piece Rivets

Can anybody help as to where I can obtain two piece rivets like those pictured below. They are the sort that hold the scales onto knives. Also, what are they called as that is hampering my efforts at searching on the net?

    Any help is appreciated.

Paul I did a search a while back best to check with a local saddle maker to get a supply or leather worker. I was lucky and found a chap at SWWS a few years back.

Some times called solid or tube rivets. semitubular rivets, semi-tub rivets, steel semitubular rivets, aluminum semitubular rivets, brass semitubular rivets, stainless steel semitubular rivets

They are also called Cutlers rivets if you want the nice brass ones for knife handles.

TAS Bladesteel, Blocks and Blanks for Knife Makers & Customizers

If you want the cheapo ones, those engravers/ key cutters/ show repair people in shopping centre malls have them.

They also used to be used for fixing the shoes into drum brakes, so you might find some in Grand ad's junk box, I don't think anyone outside vintage car enthusiasts use them anymore.

    Thank you gents.

It has given me something to work with. Cutler rivets brought up a link to Amazon, but they were brass and I am trying to get stainless. Thanks Wheelin' and Fly in particular for the links.

    China

I had turned up these people myself and somebody else also gave me a link to them. Their site makes no reference of these rivets, but I did email them after I received your link. They came back very promptly but advised that they do not stock or import these rivets and know of no Australian stockist.

They could only recommend these people out of the US, who do seem to stock the products:

Jantz Supply - Knife Making - Knife Kits - Knife Steel - Mosaic Pins - Handle Materials - Paracord - Abrasives - Polishing - Sharpening

The Americans seem to be big on knives .

Wow! That's the first in ap (tapatalk) website I've seen with products and prices... dangerous. I didn't want knife parts but I almost bought some!
...I'll just make the other bits smaller.
