Only if you roll it with a shaving...
I don't tap the nose of the plane, just the blade gently. I know it can spread the steel on the blade, but it sure beats beating up the plane at both ends.
Besides, last one needs whacking with a deadblow to pull the blade out. Not tapping, full on whacks with the angry persuader to get the blade to shift out. Can't be bothered doing anything about it right now though.
Although it does have a steel lever cap in it's very near future. Gotta add some weight to the thing somehow.
