    Well Paul
Looks like you had a great day afterwards.
And you didn't spend it all alone surrounded by people thinking you were some odd fellow with old saws.
    Well done Sir.

    Cheers Matt

If you have a nostalgic nature I would rate it as priceless. I am hoping that I get the opportunity at some time in the future to have another outing (I've just realised the connotation of that today but you know what I mean) amongst woodworkers.

Public outings - that sounds like something I might see on the evening news lately.

I have to agree that meeting the general public, showing them that people still actually make things, use hand tools and enjoy doing it makes for a very enjoyable day.

It was very interesting. We also had a blacksmith there. I asked him if could make up an axe head, but he said that he was more of a farrier and something like an axe head, was not within his scope.

I had recently been asked if I knew anybody who could make up a quality axe head. I suppose they must be out there. If anybody knows of a blacksmith perhaps you could let me know.

Really great looking display by the way.Paul, put in a request over on the Metalwork Forum in the Blacksmith section for the axe head.

I hadn't realised these pictures had been taken. They were sent to SWMBO, I think for recognition purposes as she had been away for six weeks.

At least you will be able to recognise me in the street.

I think it is a good shot of the back saws and mitre boxes.
