Thread Chaser !
I'm not sure if I'm on the right track here, but just recently, well in May...? I went to the Melany Wood Show & while there I saw some turned boxes with screw top lids.
I've been turning small boxes with push on and in lids and thought it about time I stepped up another level.
I looked around for a thread chaser/s and found some quite expensive overseas brand ones, very nice but out of my range (pocket Wise).
Someone told me of a Thread Chaser on this forum and I found "Hughie" made such a beast and it was within OZ and at the right price too.
So I sent for one and have been playing with this tool (thread Chaser) for about ten days and I'm just getting the hang of it. It's a nice piece of hand crafted work by Hughie and I'm going to start actually putting my practice into some boxes with screw top lids.
It's nice to have yet another string to ones bow and I'm looking forward to making something different for a change (for me that is).
That's all I have to say at this point in time, as I said at the beginning I'm not sure if this is relevant to this forum, I'm just happy that I am doing something different and with a tool that I could afford.
