    Default Woodwork shows

We had a bit of a discussion at work the other day and I thought I'd continue it here to see what it may show. It revolved around why people went to the shows and what their expectations or hopes were. Anyway, I thought I'd post a poll to get a bit of an idea of where the majority of interests lie.

So, if you don't mind taking part, have a look at the categories and descriptions and try to pick the major reasons that attract you to the shows (and those that WOULD bring you to the shows).

Select those that interest you, more than one is ok.

If you can't find an exact match, select something close to it.

The poll will not show results until 20 days from today. At that point they will be visible to everyone.

Apparently none of my reasons/interest are covered.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Oops, thanks Cliff. I forgot to paste this in the post: "The poll will not show results until 20 days from today. At that point they will be visible to everyone."

To me the Wood shows (at least the Sydney one) are more like the old regional shows from the old days where people went for all the reasons in your poll and more, They were originaly a produce and handycraft show. These days the shows have lost a lot of that feel. The wood shows appeal to me becasuse I don't realy want to tractors and cows but saws and timber but it should have that appeal of a regional show. I love them, I look forward to the Sydney show all year.

An incentive is moving walkways with wenches serving beer as I go past on my chair. ( although two years ago there was a mob next door to the UBeaut stand with beer tasting, maybe they could be invited again. )

But seeing as they don't have that I will still show up to do a few circuits and probably not find what I was after or not have enough money.

Only downside is it seems each year things get smaller with those who are there having less on display.
I make things, I just take a long time.

The beer sounds like a good inclusion, then Skews chicks wouldn't even have to be that good looking
