Default Free Clock Plans

Thanks Ravlord
Its really generous sharing of all those plans.

For anyone planning making mechanical clocks off a plan - it pays to check that the available mechanical movements will fit the plan that you have.
Quartz movements have lots of options but again don't drill holes for insert clocks until you you buy the clock. Otherwise you may have a hole that there just is not a insert clock available to fit into.
I have heard lots of sad stories.
The moral of this story is do your homework before drilling holes in timber and building clock cases. A few simple modifications to the plan before cutting the timber can save hours of stress trying to find a clock insert or mechanical movement that fits your fantastic woodwork.
Happy New Year

Thanks for this plan. I have recently joined the local woodworkers guild so this will give me a project.

I really like the pictures of these clock cases, but when I click the links, it just comes up "NOT FOUND". Any suggestions?

These links seem to be long dead, but I have just noticed they originate from this thread:

10 Free Clock plans

which indicate many members received copies - perhaps if we all ask nicely one or more of them may upload them again?

Ravlord13 has not been on the forum since November 2011.

The links put up by him were to his own server, and obviously the links are broken for one reason or another.
