Thanks Ravlord
Its really generous sharing of all those plans.
For anyone planning making
mechanical clocks off a plan - it pays to check that the available mechanical movements will fit the plan that you have.
Quartz movements have lots of options but again
don't drill holes for insert clocks until you you buy the clock. Otherwise you may have a hole that there just is not a insert clock available to fit into.
I have heard lots of sad stories.
The moral of this story is
do your homework before drilling holes in timber and building clock cases. A few simple modifications to the plan before cutting the timber can save hours of stress trying to find a clock insert or mechanical movement that fits your fantastic woodwork.
Happy New Year
