    Default CT26 Recall

Anyone else got the email about the CT26 recall? A little confusing as it talks about sending back the "twin" outlet versions but it seems to refer to the single outlet version as well.

A real pain having to send it to Melbourne and lose it for at least a week. Why can't the local repairers conduct the fix?
The email also infers that although the current wiring does not comply with Australian wiring regulations that it all works OK so no necessity to get it fixed but they will if you want them to

    No not yet.
I can't find anything on the Festool Australia website or the Product Safety Recall Australia website either. Will be interesting, as I added the extra outlet in mine - got sick of switching leads around all the time.

Thanks, will check my serial number tonight. Mine might fall outside that window and hence not receiving the email. It is something that should be rectified and mine will be going back if affected.

I also have a CT26 E recall and I'm in WA not real handy to Melbourne,so reckon on losing sight of it for a while.
Fortunately the little Mini will suffice for the time being.
Reckon a local leckie could deal with the problem but I guess Festool is a little embarrassed by this rare recall considering the high standing they have attained in their name.

    Cheers
