Domino N.A. Supplemental Owner's Manual
Even though Domino isn't new to the Aussies here, with the release of the tool in the U.S. I am able to make my supplemental manual public. This was supposed to be included in the systainers when the Domino hit the U.S. shelves, but due to a glitch, it didn't make it. As a result, I put a download copy of it on one of my web sites. Since I have been announcing this on the websites I frequently visit, I thought you blokes would like to have access to it too. The website below is actually one of mine, even though it looks like a Festool URL.

Good read PTM.
But as i pointed out recently on SMC i prefere my version of the 3-way miter by a mile.
I tried yours a few weeks back and had a terrible time assembling a frame that included 12 mitered sections and 4 floating panels to fit "all in one go." I ended up using epoxy and filler (to get into the empty mortice holes) because i found it so much easier to exclude a few dominos just to make the fit up easier.
Its a nice join for a demo purpous but in my mind not practical in use, where mine allows all frames/panels to be assembled one at a time

Thanks PTM.
I found the maintenance part with the calibrating routines particularly useful .

Clinton,
It is an unreleased document that has not been fully reviewed by the Festool legal department and has not been released by Festool. Your first quote came from my website because this is unrelased. Your second and third quote came from within the manual and is the very reason why the first quote (and other wording on the website) exists. It is legal protection for Festool because this document carries their name as the owner, yet they have not released it with that information.
I went out of my way to make this manual available for your use--before it was supposed to be available for your use--and in return, you bite the hand that feeds you?
Instead of working in the workshop, I spent last Saturday afternoon doing the mundane housekeeping stuff necessary to make this unreased document available to Domino owners, including taking the time to notify you on this website. I wasn't obligated to do this, and I didn't get paid to do it. So would it be alright with you if I sent you my bill for the time? At least then you would have the right to complain.

yeah mate, you can bill me. No worries.
I actually wanted to know if I could pass the manual on to a mate that doesn't get on the web much and is pretty IT illiterate, you know ...
save, burn a copy, give it to him.
Hence my quotes and questions.
Again:
So the manual is owned by Festool (and/or yourself) and is not able to be distributed, or passed on as an electronic document, to people you know??

All you had to do was ask, and I would have told you that of course you could. But that's not what you wrote.

Dont be to sad about it Rick
After all we have been helping you out with information via this forum, and as we have discussed in a PM, it was my 3-way miter join that gave you the idea for the one in the manual. So you shouldnt look at biting the hand that also feeds you
