Default Dumb question reguarding RAS 115 rotary

    Hello festo fanatics

How do you remove the backing pad on the RAS 115 rotary sander? Does it just unscrew or is there another trick involved?

    Thanks

    Hi boatchippy,

Press the spindle lock on top of the the 'head' of the tool. In many cases you can rotate the pad/disc/brush off by hand. If not, the special spanner (included) fits through the dust shroud (slot on side) and can locate onto the shaft. Then remove (still holding the spindle lock).

If this does not seem to fit your machine configuration, because you have a disc with locking nut fitter, there is a second tool with two prongs to fit the lower locking nut - a bit like a normal grinder.
